This Privacy Policy explains what personal information Book An Event (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to our website jaivictoragro.store and the Book An Event mobile application (together, the “Service”).

By creating an account or making a booking, you agree to this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Information we collect

a) Information you give us

• Account details — your name, mobile number, email address and password when you register.
• Venue / delivery details — the address you enter at checkout (house/street, locality, city, state, PIN code, landmark) and the contact name and phone number for your event.
• Booking details — the packages and services you book, and any customisation you ask for.

b) Information collected automatically

• Booking and payment records — what you booked, amounts, booking status and payment status.
• Technical information — IP address, device type, operating system and app version, and basic usage information such as screens opened. Some of this is recorded in ordinary server logs and by Google Firebase Analytics in the mobile app.
• Push notification token — if you allow notifications in the mobile app, a device token from Google Firebase Cloud Messaging so that we can send you booking updates and offers. You can turn notifications off at any time in your phone settings.

c) Location — mobile app only, and only if you allow it

The checkout screen has a “Use My Current Location” button. If you tap it, the app asks your device for permission and uses your location once, at that moment, to fill in your address. Every field remains editable. We do not track your location in the background. Your co-ordinates are sent to Google’s geocoding service to convert them into an address; we store only the address you submit. You can refuse the permission and type your address instead.

d) Payment information

Online payments are processed by Razorpay. Your card number, UPI PIN and net-banking credentials are entered directly with Razorpay and are never seen or stored by us. We receive only the payment reference, amount and status.

2. How we use your information

• To create and operate your account.
• To confirm, plan, set up and invoice your bookings.
• To contact you about a booking, a payment or a support request — by phone, SMS, WhatsApp, email or push notification.
• To meet our legal obligations, including GST and other tax and accounting requirements.
• To detect and prevent fraud and misuse of the Service.
• To fix problems and improve the website and app.

We do not sell your personal information to anyone.

3. Who we share it with

• Our event team and service partners (decorators, photographers, sound and lighting crews) — only the details needed to deliver your booking, such as the venue, date, time and contact number.
• Razorpay — to process payments.
• Google — Firebase (analytics and push notifications) and Maps geocoding (if you use current location).
• Our hosting and email providers — to run the Service and send you emails.
• Authorities — where the law requires it.

4. How long we keep it

We keep your account information while your account is open. Invoices and related booking records are kept for the period Indian tax law requires, even after your account is deleted.

5. Your choices and rights

• You can view and update your profile and addresses in your account.
• You can delete your account in the app (My Account → Delete Account) or by using our Delete Account page. To delete specific data only, use our Delete Data page.
• You can turn off push notifications and location permission in your phone settings at any time.

6. Security

We use HTTPS for all traffic and store passwords in hashed form. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

7. Children

The Service is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

8. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. The latest version is always available on this page.
